my favorite thing about the tourists is when there are 4 skinny girls standing in the cheese section debating the fat content and calories of two kinds of mozzarella. bless them for being so conscientious while on vacation. but why must they discuss it in the middle of the aisle? i've had the impatient look of the local for weeks already and it's starting to wear thin. the good news is that the police ticketed some tourist for going too slow. i love police beat.

Wow, they ticket people at the grocery store? :) That would cool if they did. I hate it when people block the aisle. Obstructing traffic!
apparently it was a convertible doing 20 in a 45. i'm surprised they weren't murdered before the police stepped in.
I watched a program on the Discovery Channel the other day about a very old set of bones found in a river, and how they could tell the man had been in a lot of pain his whole life because the position of the facial muscles wore the expression into his skull.
Your "impatient look of the local" reminded of me of that. Like, in 25,000 years some anthropologist excavating a place like Bar Harbor or Orlando or the Hamptons will unearth a skull and say "See this notch right here? And this groove here? This woman really hated tourists."
