10 pounds down 32 pounds to go!

And so it begins...

We got three boxes of candy today, a bag of homemade cookies and a tin of fudge. It's only December 12. I had a cookie, I had a piece of fudge and I'm the one who opened the Whitman's sampler. Their candy isn't even that great. This week has been sort of a mess for it to only be wednesday. Must pack giant salad for lunch, eat a breakfast that does not consist of cake and stop thinking that I have to get my share of gift food. It's just stupid to pine over that stuff, anything you really need you can get. I suppose the upside is that I've completely forgotten about doritos.

the good news is that now you know the fudge isn't all that great.

Now you can be one of those people who brings candy into work and dumps it on their coworkers.

I feel your pain. I just finished an entire bag of Crunch holiday bells or something vaguely bell-shaped and chocolatey. Christmas is not kind on the waistline.

I'll feel so much better if it's everyone else getting fat and not me. Good for the morale.

What is it about "gift food" than makes it seem not only acceptable, but obligatory, to eat a bunch of it? I eat all kinds of crap that I don't like quite enough to waste calories on any other time of the year.

Now Sees candy--that's at least worth the calories. I have a total weakness for Sees.

I think if something tickles your fancy that much you should enjoy it, i just hate that I waste calories on crap and then I waste energy feeling guilty about it. It's so much better to be like "I will enjoy this thing so much I don't need all these un-superior things" in theory anyway.
