If you have a Mac you can buy iLife, which has five programs, one of which is iTunes. Otherwise you'll need to download software. At least that's what I remember; it's been a while since I got my Shuffle. I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

I have an Ipod shuffle. If you're on a PC then you need to be able to download Itunes and you need the internet to get it. Do you have a friend who has internet access?

Like Debbi said, if you have a Mac then you can buy ILife.

Other MP3 can use windows media player that usually comes with all PCs.

I find Napster superior to iTunes. It's 9.95 a month to download and listen to unlimited songs (burning is .99 a song extra) and for $5 you can download songs to almost any MP3 player. I've heardpeople say the regretted getting an iPod because it limits you to iTunes only.

You need iTunes I'm afraid. Maybe steal a friends internet connection for a couple of minutes so you can burn the program to disc/ onto a pen drive and take it home?

I'm going to go on record here and say that I LOVE MY SHUFFLE! It has revolutionized the way I work out.

Find a friend who can download iTunes and throw it on a USB stick or CD or something. It's worth it. (I never thought I'd say that about an Apple product...)

They're called MacBooks now. iBook is so 30 months ago.

The other option is to hit the Opera House for their internet connection and see if they'll let you download/burn it.
