the new frontier

today i started my food journal. i'd been planning meals and keeping track that way, but there were too many "i don't wanna cook, i'll just get pizza" nights. so now i'm journaling. i'm writing what actually gets eaten instead of what i should be eating. it may not discourage me from getting pizza but atleast i can say at the end of the week what exactly i ate. it's a learning period. an experiment if you will. to see what kind of choices i make when i don't actually force myself to eat salad every day.

The food journal is probably the os important thing you cando, and you're doing it absolutely correctly. You're gathering a baseline, which is what you need to do.

You don't start correcting your data until you've analyzed it, and you can't analyse it if you've "fixed" it what what you think your data should be. You have to find out what it IS, and then determine your "how to get to 'should be' " plan.

I had to keep a food journal in middle school when I was having an unhealthy amount of intestinal woe, to see if I was allergic to anything (like milk or wheat or whatever). I totally lied about my vegetable intake.
